Man, oh man. We’ve been dying to get our hands on one of these boxes from Llarowe for awhile but they always seemed to sell out before we could. Not this time, mom set her alarm on her phone and sat at her computer for 10 minutes before to get in virtual “line”! So worth it!
May’s box was “flower” themed and called “The Deadly and the Beautiful” and included the following:
So without further ado . . .
Glisten & Glow’s Honeysuckle Cuticle Oil ~ Hubby/Daddy sweetly agreed to let us try this cuticle oil out on his shredded cuticles. The honeysuckle smell was light and pretty, not overpowering like we feared it might be. The brush was great, and the oil sunk in quickly and you could see immediate results:
Hare Polish’s The Blooming Desert ~ wow! This was our first Hare Polish and I was so impressed by how unique this was! The Blooming Desert has shimmery orange and white glitter along with gold shimmers and flakies in a cheery pink jelly base. It dries to a semi-matte finish. We love this one so much, and we think it would benefit from laying down a pink base just so we don’t waste it! This is 2 coats by itself with a top coat to smooth:
Black Cat Lacquer’s Poison Ivy – be still our hearts! First of all, we love our kitties to death and so of course this new-to-us brand called to us right away. But then . . . check out that polish! Poison Ivy is a bright green jelly with green glitters along with light green and gold glitter. This is 2 easy coats, no top coat needed!
CrowsToes Dead Man’s Bells ~ Mom did a double-take when she first read the label on this one hahaha! We have other CrowsToes polishes in our stash and love them all, and this was certainly no different! Dead Man’s Bells is a black jelly-base with purple hex glitters and teal micro glitters. We would recommend using a black creme base for this so you don’t waste this product. This is 3 coats by itself with a top coat to smooth:
Contrary Polish’s Darling Wildflower ~ Carrie does the best contrasting shimmers in the business, and this was no exception. Darling Wildflower is a deep purple with flakies of gold and dark pink. There is no need to layer this one over another polish! This is 3 coats with a top coat:
Pretty Jelly’s Rabbit Hole is a stunningly beautiful polish with a brownish-purple base and a red-violet shimmer that turns gold at extreme angles. It features large copper glitter, small gold glitter, and sparkly holographic glitter. From the other swatches we have seen this is a pretty sheer jelly, so we did 2 coats over Zoya’s Ivy as Ivy’s base is almost identical to Rabbit Hole’s jelly base:
From Shannon ~ here is a cute skittles mani with a shredded opal topcoat perfect for Easter!
From pinky finger: Lime Crime’s Milky Ways, Peaches Cream, Once in a Blue Mousse, then Sinful Color’s Starfish and Tempest (thumb). Three coats each plus 1 coat of Avon’s Opalescence:
From Shannon ~ Pipe Dream Polish’s Ever After. This is a gorgeous glittah bomb filled with large & medium silver circle glitter, turquoise glitter, and small & micro silver, teal, and turquouse holi hex glitter in a clear base. No digging required! I layered 1 coat over Avon’s Galaxy from the Cosmic Collection:
You can purchase Ever After for $8.00 a full size bottle or $3.75 a mini bottle at the Pipe Dream Polish website.
From Mary ~ for your consideration: Polish Addict Nail Color’s Imagine Dragons. Mom and I are huge fans of the band Imagine Dragons and when we found this nail polish we knew we just had have it! This is a green jelly with different colored and sizes of glitters. It is just awesome! Here it is 3 coats no undies:
From Shannon ~ for your consideration: China Glaze Wish on a Starfish from the Sea Goddess collection. This is a light pink texture with a golden shimmer. Fully opaque in 2 coats. Here it is with no undies and no top coat:
And here is a glamour shot:
Happy St. Paddy’s Day! So today Mary and I are both rockin’ some green and gold nails. This is great for mom, as normally green nail polish is a no-no at work!
From Shannon ~ for your consideration: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic’s Man Oh Man and Pipe Dream Polish’s Green light. Man Oh Man went on super-smooth and was opaque in 3 coats. It has such a lovely green shimmer and is perfect for today! Green Light is from the Lorde Gatsby collection and is a gorgeous glitter bomb with teal and silver glitter in a darker teal jelly base. I used 1 coat over Man Oh Man on my accent finger, no undies or top coat:
From Mary ~ for your consideration: Sinful Colors green polish and gold glitter. Neither of these had a name on the package (?) but the green polish reminds us of a ripe Granny Smith apple, and the gold glittah was a sparkly joy! The polish was very sheer though, and we used 2 coats as I wanted a more subtle color to offset the sparkly sparkles of that gold! No undies, no topcoat:
And, because mom liked that gold glittah so much, this happened:
So how are you showing off your Irish spirit today?
